新しい世代のアーティストが時代に深く関わって行こうとした時、それはおのずと自己のプロジェクトととしての進行と形態をたどろうとする。そこではタブロー作品の制作でこと足りた時代とは遥かに異なり、様々な語り口が模索され、あらゆるメディアが駆使される。そのプロセスは限りなく個人的なレベルから出発し、自己と世界の新たな位置づけを目指す。それは新しい自己の語り方から新しい美術の語り方の発生へと向かうプライベート・プロジェクトと言える。シリーズ9回目となるPeoject Exhibition。

PRIVATE PROJECT IX

When a young artist attempts to deeply engage the historical period he or she is in, the engagement progresses and takes form as the artist's own project. Such projects search for new methods of articulation, using a variety of mediums that go far beyond the traditional tableau. The process begins from an utterly personal level, and attempts to situate the self and the world in a new way. This process can be called a "Private Project," in which the artists start to develop new methods of self-articulation that lead to new generalized modes of artistic expression. This is the 9th installment of the PRIVATE PROJECT exhibition series.
