菊池星希「Consonance of square～四辺の調和～」
部分と全体のインタラクティブな関係性（ハーモニー）をテーマに、個体（スクエアのパネル）→群衆（意味を持たないもの）→集団（意味を持つものもの）に意義を問う。一個一個分ち描かれているが、我々が見るのは連続したリズムであり、流れから生じた意味である。部分の持っている意味と、全体の持っている意味の間に生じるズレ、これは文脈によって意味を変えるためにおこるが、この違いを埋めていくことで「流れ」は音楽のようにまとまりのある美しいリズム、メロディーを奏でるのだ。「空」や「間」は、これらに音階を与えるのである。これは、時空間芸術である。

From individual (square panel) to aggregation (meaningless), from aggregation to mass (meaningful)…what’s the true meaning of this flow? They will be drawn individually, however what we see is the consecutive rhythm of the flow and its meaning. There is a slight difference between the meaning possessed by each of the segments and the meaning when they are put together as one. This happens when they are interpreted differently. When this “difference” is made smaller, the “flow” becomes a melody with beautiful stable rhythm, just like music. “Space” and “gap” will give it a musical scale. This is spatiotemporal art.
