風景画というジャンルが興隆したのは19世紀末。1世紀を経て現代の風景、及び風景表現は大きく変貌しました。1999年4月にスタートしシリーズ13回目となる、絵画、彫刻、工芸、写真、デザイン、建築、インスタレーションなど様々なジャンルの新しい世代が現代のシーンへアプローチするProject Exhibition。
The genre of landscape painting first flourished at the end of the 19th century. A century later, both the contemporary landscape and its representation have been dramatically transformed.
This Project Exhibition will be the 13th installment of a series started in April 1999. The exhibition includes contemporary approaches to the landscape by a new generation of artists in a variety of mediums including painting, sculpture, craft, photography, design, architecture and installation.

　
升谷絵里香「島を動かす」
撮影は香川県小豆島の南に位置する三都半島の神浦の丸い山に囲まれた穏やかな内海にて、ロープで島と20隻のRCボートを連結して島を引っ張り、微かな波風に大音量を立てて軌跡を追った。
Erika Masuya “The Island Started to Move”
The movie was shot in the quiet ocean of Mito Peninsular, surrounded by small, round islands of Kamiura, south of Shodoshima in Kagawa. 20 remote-controlled model boats are connected to each other and then they are supposed to haul the whole island. The movie shows how loudly the boats sail with the wind through the quiet sea.
