Misato Okubo “The Day of Departure”

This is the story of the world that you see when you go down those stairs.

“The Day of Departure” is the title of this print. It’s like watching a movie throughout all the scenes through a train window.
Things you see here vaporize in the air, just like carbon of soda.
When they are gone, it’s a new beginning. Beautiful and eternal, as it seems.

Through the train window, a new sunrise, a new night. Day after day…

Like turning pages of book, I would like to weave through the story.

2009 Graduated from Tama Art University, Faculty of Art and Design, Printmaking Major
2011 Completed first semester of doctoral programs at Tama Art University, Fine Arts Major
