Yuriko Katori New Drawings [ Fences]

This drawing series represents my personal fantasy as the antithesis of our standardized, systematized and pressurized society.









Yuriko Katori is a Japanese artist working in Brooklyn, NY. She received her MFA from the School of Visual Arts in NY and her BA in Literature from Waseda University in Tokyo. Her recent exhibitions include Kokoro Studio in San Francisco, National Arts Club in New York, and The Pyramida Centre for Contemporary Art in Israel. The children's e-book "Crane Wife" that she illustrated for will be published in the spring of 2013 as collaboration with J-Collabo. Her works will be featured on the next issue of the art magazine Carrier Pigeon in spring 2013.
